Internship Applications: Brain Health Research in Mid-Coast Maine

Are you a medical school student looking to make your summer count? Then, come join the Brain Health Research Program at Boothbay Region Health Center, nestled in the picturesque, seaside town of Boothbay Harbor, Maine!

Application Deadline: 2 May 2025

This unpaid internship offers you a rare opportunity to gain firsthand experience in cutting-edge, patient-centered care under the leadership of Dr. Allan S. Teel. Launched in January 2020, the program is a pioneering effort aimed at reducing or reversing cognitive decline - based on a successful, research model developed on the west coast.

As a member of the medical team, you’ll support the implementation of an innovative, personalized, and multifactorial approach to Alzheimer’s and dementia prevention and reversal. You'll observe clinical care, interview and educate participants, and analyze health logs and clinical data to identify links between chronic conditions and preventative lifestyle interventions. This is a unique chance to contribute to meaningful research in brain health and integrative medicine, while building your clinical and analytical skills.

Immerse yourself in impactful work while enjoying life in one of Maine’s most scenic, coastal communities. Spots are limited - apply now to shape your future in medicine and help revolutionize Alzheimer’s care from the ground up!

Housing is provided and a life-changing experience is included.

Questions: Contact Elaine Jones for more information.

Application Deadline: 2 May 2025
