Patty Vescera
Biography
Patty is the Operations and Student Affairs Manager. She received an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting & Administration at Allied Technical Institute. Patty has been at Brown since 2006, initially working in Brown University’s Health Services as a Medical Assistant. In 2012, Patty came to the Medical School where she was an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Administration. In 2014, Patty was promoted to an Executive Assistant to support Dean Allan Tunkel, Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education. In 2017, she was promoted to Program Manager at Gateways to Medicine, Healthcare and Research at the Warren Alpert Medical School.
As the Operations and Student Affairs Manager, Patty manages operational and student affairs processes in the Office of Student Affairs and provides high level support for the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the Chief Wellness Officer, and the Office of Student Affairs overall as well as the Learning and Accessibility Specialist. She is the central point of contact and liaison for the Office of Student Affairs, and she manages student services and activities such as the AMS Medical Student Senate, 100+ student interest groups, and the Patient Advocacy Community Council.
Patty lives in Cranston with her husband and the love of her life - a Malshi named Lincoln [winner of AMS Top Dog in 2016]. She has two cherished daughters, Celine and Kennedy who live nearby in Rhode Island.
